About Me
I’ve always had one foot in the past and the other in a story. With a degree in English and History (and another in Physiotherapy because even storytellers need a practical side!), I’ve spent years fascinated by words, myths, and the lives of those who came before us. That love of history is what shaped my fantasy writing, blending the echoes of Saxon Britain with the freedom of imagined worlds.
When I’m not writing, you’ll usually find me in the garden with earth under my fingernails, painting at my desk, or losing myself in a stack of books. I’ve always adored the Romantics, Tennyson, John Clare, the poets who saw beauty in nature and shadows alike.
But the real rulers of my day are my two Pomeranians, Cookie and Jack-Jack. Cookie is fluffy and mischievous, while Jack-Jack (yes, a nod to The Incredibles 2) is as cheeky as he is loveable. Between the two of them, there’s never a dull moment, and they make sure I don’t spend too much time lost in my fictional worlds.
Writing for me has always been about weaving history, fantasy, and emotion into stories that speak to resilience, freedom, and finding one’s place — themes close to my heart as a writer, a mother, and a dreamer.
